Ronald Dregan: Dreganomics is an album by Mac Dre, released on Thizz Entertainment on July 20, 2004, the same day as The Genie of the Lamp.

The story

A mock presidential campaign album, it includes “Get Stupid,” often described as the defining song of the hyphy movement. It came out just three months before Mac Dre was killed in Kansas City.

Sound and production

Sean T, Gennessee, Sweet Geez and others produced loud, bouncy, dance-ready beats.

Legacy

It captures Mac Dre at the height of his creativity, and it became a blueprint for the hyphy wave that followed.
