No Man’s Land is the second album by Souls of Mischief, released by Jive in 1995.

The story

It reached No. 111 on the Billboard 200 and No. 27 on the R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart. It was the group’s last album on a major label; Hieroglyphics launched its own label, Hieroglyphics Imperium, in 1997.

Sound and production

As on the debut, the crew produced it in-house, with a darker, more stripped-down sound.

Legacy

Overshadowed by 93 ’til Infinity on release, it’s now valued by fans as the other half of the group’s Jive-era story.
