A-1 Yola is the second album by Hunters Point’s 11/5, released in July 1996 by Dogday Records.

The story

It was the group’s biggest chart success, peaking at No. 33 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and No. 22 on Heatseekers. Standout tracks include “Hate to See Me Have Shit,” “The ‘Nade'” and “Dope Tales.”

Sound and production

T.C., Big Reg, Race, Mr. Laid and Chill Black produced alongside the group, widening the sound beyond the debut.

Legacy

Together with Fiendin’ 4 tha Funk, it makes 11/5 one of the key Hunters Point groups of the decade.
