Blow the Whistle is the sixteenth album by Too $hort, released by Up All Nite and Jive on August 29, 2006.
The story
Released as hyphy took over the Bay, the title track became an anthem and topped the Bubbling Under chart. The album reached No. 14 on the Billboard 200. Guests include Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, E-40, Pimp C and Bun B.
Sound and production
Lil Jon produced much of it, with Jazze Pha, will.i.am, Droop-E and others, mixing crunk drums with Bay bounce.
Legacy
Twenty years after his first tapes, it put Too $hort back on radio and in the clubs.
