Los Traficantes… Matan Mi Gente is a Spanish-language album from the Darkroom Familia camp, released under the Los Traficantes name by Dogday Records. Discogs dates it 1999; Wikipedia lists 1998.

The story

It is cited as one of the first all-Spanish rap albums, and Duke described it as the group’s first all-Spanish Latino rap record.

Sound and production

Locote leads on most of the fourteen tracks, including “Las Palabras,” “Matan Mi Gente” and “Soy Locote,” with guests Victor E, A.L.G., Tokztero, Mr. Ace and E-Clips.

Legacy

The Los Traficantes name continued on No Paremos Hasta la Muerte (2002) and Conecta del Norte (2008).
