Sound and production

Noah “40” Shebib led the production, deepening the hazy, emotional sound of So Far Gone. The title track builds on Jamie xx’s rework of Gil Scott-Heron.

Legacy

It made moody, R&B-leaning rap the mainstream sound of the 2010s.
