Oakland and No Limit

E-A-Ski, born Shon Adams on September 17, 1971, is a rapper and producer from Oakland. In the early 1990s he worked with Master P's No Limit Records while it was still a Bay Area label, producing on Master P's Mama's Bad Boy (1992) and The Ghettos Tryin to Kill Me! (1994) and on TRU's Understanding the Criminal Mind.

E-A-Ski & CMT

His main partner was producer CMT (Mark Ogleton). Their debut EP, 1 Step Ahead of Yall, came out in 1992 on No Limit and In-A-Minute with Master P as executive producer. The pair's production credits from the era include Spice 1's Spice 1 (1992) and 187 He Wrote (1993), Kam's Made in America (1995), Ice-T's VI: Return of the Real and “Playa Hata” on the Luniz's Operation Stackola (1995).

Priority, Relativity, Columbia

Signed to Priority, he released the 1995 EP Blast If I Have To; the title track was on the Friday soundtrack, which went to No. 1 and double platinum. In 1997 he released “Showdown” with Montell Jordan on Relativity. An album called Earthquake was shelved during a dispute with DreamWorks, and in 2002 Columbia issued his single “Manuscript.”

Independent

He went on to work independently through his IMG label. His first full-length album, The Resume (2010), brought in San Quinn, E-40, Keak da Sneak, Too $hort, B-Legit, Richie Rich and Yukmouth.
