Lil Raider: Vacaville rapper from Thizz Latin and the 200 Blk Locoz. The Nasty North, They Predicted I’d Be Dead Or N Prison, the Half Baked and Ghetto Graduate series and two decades of NorCal releases.

Vacaville

Lil Raider comes out of Vacaville, the Solano County town on I-80 between the Bay and Sacramento. He ran with the 200 Blk Locoz and was part of Thizz Latin, the Latino wing of the Mac Dre Thizz movement run by Goldtoes, recording with Goldtoes, Sonny Spitz and Zipper Louie on records like “It’s Finna Be Big.”

The Nasty North

His run started with the Nasty North releases in the mid-2000s, then Tell Me How You Feel (2007) and They Predicted I’d Be Dead Or N Prison (2009). Goldtoes collected his early work on Goldtoes Presents: The Best of Lil’ Raider in 2009. From there he kept a steady independent pace: the Half Baked smoke-session tapes, 24/7: The Pickup (2010), Pirate Music: True Signs of a Raider (2011) and the Ghetto Graduate series.

Still tickin’

The 2010s brought The Bakery and Slightly Pimp’ish (2013), Naaaasty (2014), two volumes of Search’n 4 Better Dayz (2015, 2016), The Smokers Lounge (2017), and Breakfast In Bed and Chicken Dinner (2019). Still Tickin followed in 2021, and he kept releasing singles into 2024. Along the way he worked with A-Wax, Shadow, Mistah F.A.B., Ono Loco, Mac Young and Baby Gas.
