EBK4 is the third album by Brotha Lynch Hung, released by Black Market on June 27, 2000.
The story
Unfinished songs were taken in a break-in during the sessions, and the label released the album without Lynch’s approval, with affiliates finishing tracks. It still reached No. 86 on the Billboard 200. Snoop Dogg appears on “Dogg Market,” with X-Raided, Keak da Sneak, Spice 1 and Bad Azz among the other guests.
Sound and production
Phonk Beta and Cevan Segal produced. The album includes a cover of X-Raided’s “Every Single Bitch.”
Legacy
The dispute over EBK4 and his catalog led Lynch to leave Black Market in 2003.
