Skoolz In Session is Tone Tone’s debut album, released by Wide Open Records in 2004.
The story
The lead single, “I Ain’t Playin Witcha,” featuring Detroit producer K.I.D.D., became a local hit and introduced him to Detroit listeners.
Sound and production
Eighteen tracks, with B.G. on “Holla Shawty,” K.I.D.D. on the single and Recachello on “Pimps & Players” and “Hard To Choose.”
Legacy
It led to mixtapes, a deal with Jazze Pha’s Sho’nuff Records and a guest spot on B.G.’s The Heart of tha Streetz, Vol. 2.
