Darren Kandler was born in Hornsey in 1975 and came up in Hackney as Ricochet Klashnekoff, a founding member of the crew Terra Firma.

The Sagas Of

His debut The Sagas Of… (2004) is one of the heaviest UK rap albums of its era. Lionheart: Tussle with the Beast followed in 2007, the year he was nominated for a BET award for best UK hip hop act. “Murda,” produced by Harry Love, was on the Kidulthood soundtrack. Back to the Sagas (2010) and Iona (2019) came later.
